WHY TRON’S IMAX NUMBERS ARE ASTOUNDING

What follows is an analysis of domestic box office for IMAX’s December DMR opening weekends since 2006.  The figures given are for all formats, followed by IMAX numbers and the percentage of overall domestic box office garnered from IMAX screens.  Note that we discovered a discrepency between figures issued by Fox and figures released by IMAX for Avatar.  That is discussed at the end of the piece.
